From prehospital emergencies to anaesthesia
Jason Winchester is a newly qualified anaesthesia nurse, graduating in early 2026 and preparing to begin his first professional position.
His interest in emergency care started early when he joined the firefighting services as a teenager. This passion soon led him to the ambulance services in 2015, where experiences in prehospital emergencies sparked his fascination with anaesthesia and critical care.
Alongside his healthcare career, Jason is also a First Aid Instructor, sharing his knowledge and helping others develop lifesaving skills. Outside of healthcare, sport has become an important part of his life — he is currently training for triathlon and enjoys playing cricket during summer weekends.
As the representative of anaesthesia nursing students at NSA Luxembourg, Jason is committed to supporting and encouraging fellow students. With the bachelor programme still relatively new, he believes it is important that students stand together, stay motivated, and not give up on their path into this important profession.
